The Arc is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with any form of intellectual or developmental disability, and their families. The agency exists to promote, support, and protect the quality of life and the rights and opportunities of all persons with MRDD to realize their goals and to choose where and how they live, learn, work and play. The Arc seeks to accomplish its mission through education, collaboration, and community involvement.

Special Olympics Sharks Swim Team

Stark County offers year-round aquatic training and athletic competition for children (8 years and over) and adults with intellectual, cognitive or learning disabilities.

However, Special Olympics is not only about athletic competition. It is an opportunity for athletes to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and share gifts, skills and friendship with others in our community.
